Itinerary

Day 1

Ala-Archa National Park and cooking master show in local house (35 km from Bishkek, 45 minutes - 1 hour)

Kyrgyzstan is famous for mountains. Just 50 minutes from Bishkek we have beautiful National Park - "Ala-Archa" Enjoy views of the Ala-Archa that is 30 km from Bishkek, where you will see glaciers on the top of mountains. By the way to National Park, you can also see the life of people that live in a city and in a village. After arrival at National Park Ala-Archa, you are going to forget the noisy city and relax in a piece. After 1 hour walking in Ala- Archa we are going to drive to the village and visit one family that lives in a village. The family will prepare for you lunch, however before you are going to see the way of cooking of traditional dish with explanation and learn how to cook Kyrgyz traditional food. Maybe after coming back to your homeland, you will cook traditional Kyrgyz food to your friends. Local families will also glad to make excursion to their farm and garden. Come back to your hotel with a good memory.

Day 2

Bishkek – Kyzyl-Oi (191 km, 4-5 hours of driving)

In the morning leave from Bishkek for Suusamyr valley via Too-Ashuu pass following the highway Bishkek – Osh road then turn in Suusamyr to the east direction of the river Karakol. On the way will be a short stop. Arrival in the village, camping in the wild. Optional to do fishing in the river. Meals and overnight in a tent or at home stay at Kyzyl-Oi village

Day 3

Kyzyl-Oi– Song-Kul ( 138 km  4 -4.5 hours of driving )

After breakfast take the direction to Song-Kol Lake via djumgal valley crossing the pass Kara-Keche. Son-Kul is a mountain lake in the central Tian Shan, virtually in the center of Kyrgyzstan. The name translated from Kyrgyz as -the last lake. Son Kul lies at an altitude of 3016m above sea level. Son Kul is Kyrgyzstan's second-largest lake. The average temperature is only -3,5C. in summer +11C. In the summer Son Kul is still relatively chilly because of the high altitude, with temperatures averaging only 11C and dipping below freezing at night. there is no electricity and running water up at the jailoo, this makes Son-Kul a prime destination for those wanting to live like a nomad for a couple of days. Lunch on the way picnic in the wild. Arrival in Song-Kol, overnight in the yurts (south lakeshore).

Day 4

Song-Kul – Naryn (140 km 4 -4.5 hours of driving)

Spend the morning at the lakeside, optional to do horseback riding. After lunch drive to Naryn via Moldo-Bel pass. Accommodation in the hotel then the dinner also will be provided by the hotel restaurant.

Day 5

Naryn - Tash-Rabat  (115 km, 2-2.5 hours of driving)

After breakfast, we are going to drive to Tash - Rabat.  The first stop would be the village of At-Bashy where you can walk through the small bazaar.   Another stop of the day will be the ancient fortress of Koshoy Korgon where the hero "Koshoi" saved his whole village by building a fortress where the village was protected from invading armies.  Once you arrive in Tash -rabat you will be able to rest at the yurt and enjoy a dinner with your new hosts.

Day 6

Tass Rabat - Bokonbaevo ( 325 km, 6-6.5 hours of driving)

After early breakfast travel to Bokonbay via Kochkor village. Arrival in Bokonbay late afternoon. Accommodation in the yurt camp Bel-Tam seaside which is located just on the lakeshore. Sleep in the yurt. Lunch picnic in the wild on the way.  There will be also stopping on nature.

Day 7

Bokonbaevo - Karakol  ( 200 km, 3-3.5 hours of driving)

Spend the morning time at the lake till 9:30 am (swimming, walking at lakeshore). Then driver to Jaichy where you can see the eagle hunting show demonstrating by local falconers».

Leave for Karakol. On the way turn to Barskoon gorge where they can visit a waterfall. Set up a lunch picnic in Barskoon gorge. After lunch continues the journey to Jeti-Oguz and Kok-Jayik gorge where people can enjoy the next nature view with a coffee break. Arrival in Karakol, accommodation in CBT guest house.

Day 8

Karakol-Altyn-Arashan ( 35 km, 2-2.5 hours of driving)

Today will be driven to Altyn-Arashan hot spring. You will be dropped by a mountain’s truck to the place then have lunch up there. Afternoon hike down to Karakol. Accommodation in the guest house with dinner.

Day 8

Karakol-Chon-Kemin ( 300 km, 5-6 hours of driving)

After breakfast drive to Chong-Kemin, on the way do round driving in Grigorevka and Semenovka gorge. Lunch picnic in the wild or in Cholpon-Ata cafe Arrival in the village Chong-Kemin, accommodation CBT guest house with dinner.

Day 9

Chon-Kemin - Bishkek ( 149 km, 5-6 hours of driving)

After breakfast transfer for Bishkek, on the way turn to Burana tower (the main historical complex from 11 centuries on the Silk-Road ). Short sightseeing around the museum and take direction road on the slope of the Mountain range Ala-Too to Bishkek. Arrival in Bishkek late afternoon, accommodation in your hotel
